Denim Project

In this project I plan to create a collection inspired by the life of the people that worked in the Sunderland shipyards. I am going to explore their, pride, grit and community they built. Denim was a big part of the uniform they wore because of the hands on brutal work environments.

REsistance project

In this project I plan to create a jacket and trousers inspired by the resistance against the communist rule when my mum was a teenager and the identity that the people of Czechoslovakia were stripped of during this time.

Due to my skin problems I find wearing certain fabrics and fibres difficult especially seams. So for this project I wanted to experiment with making clothes as comfortable for everyone. I made all of the raw edges on the garment face out and left them raw but tapes the inside. I also Making sure to use natural 100% natural materials.
